Stride to Survive Raises Over $115,000 for Suicide Prevention

Australian grassroots mental health and suicide prevention charity Talk2MeBro has wrapped up one of it's biggest Stride to Survive campaign to date, with more than 350 fundraisers across the country raising over $115,000 for mental health and suicide prevention services.
Throughout May, participants walked, ran and moved their way to a collective 36,000+ kilometres, logging every step in support of Talk2MeBro's mission to end suicide in Australia. The campaign set out to cover 55,000 km, one for every Australian who attempts to take their life each year, and the community response exceeded all expectations in dollars raised, surpassing the $100,000 fundraising target.
Every dollar raised goes directly toward expanding Talk2MeBro's free community catch-ups where Australians can connect, have honest conversations, and access real support in casual, face-to-face spaces. Last year, Talk2MeBro reached more than 50,000 people through these catch-ups, and the funds from Stride to Survive 2026 will help bring them to more communities across Australia, including regional, rural and underserved areas.
"What this community did in May is genuinely remarkable,” said Director, Luke Conners.
“Every dollar raised through Stride to Survive helps to fund our free catch-ups that are designed to provide people with connection and somewhere to turn, particularly in rural, regional communities that need it most. That's what this campaign is all about, and this year's response has been incredible."
Participants took part as individuals, teams, families and workplaces, with fundraising pages shared across the country throughout the month. The campaign united people from all walks of life around a shared purpose that no Australian should have to face their struggles alone.
Talk2MeBro will use the funds raised to continue growing its free community catch-up network, reaching more Australians in more places with the kind of grassroots, face-to-face connection that makes a genuine difference.
