No one should walk through life alone

WALKWITHME 2025

walk, talk, and fundraise together AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE

This October, join WalkWithMe - a month-long challenge to get moving, raise funds, and make sure our mates, our family, and our colleagues, don't have to walk through life's challenges alone.

Devastatingly, we lose nine Australian’s to suicide every day. These aren’t just numbers, these are our brothers, our sisters, our friends, our family members.

At Talk2MeBro, our mission is to end suicide in Australia. Since 2018, we have been creating spaces for people to open up, share what they’re going through, and support each other. We start courageous conversations that save lives, reminding people that it’s okay to struggle, and we need to talk about it.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Step 1: Sign up on Grassrootz

Kick things off by registering through Grassrootz. You’ll set up your fundraising page, choose whether you’re walking solo or with others, and create the foundation for your journey. This step gives you the tools to share your challenge, inspire donations, and track your progress.

Step 2: Join a team, or as an individual

You don’t have to walk through life and it's challenges alone. After you sign up, either create or join a team of friends, family or colleagues and start pushing towards the Team Targets. Alternatively, you can sign up as an individual, although we encourage you to be part of a team.

All participants will be added into a WalkWithMe Facebook group for direct communication and connection throughout the month.

Step 3: Hit targets and earn a medal

Every kilometre walked and every dollar raised adds up. Over the course of the challenge, you or your team will have the chance to earn a special WalkWithMe medal to commemorate your efforts.

Teams who collectively reach both the distance and fundraising target earn all team members a medal from that level at the end of the challenge. Individuals who haven't joined a team can also earn a medal too by hitting individual targets.

TEAM TARGETS

Bronze: 250km walked + $500 raised
Silver: 750km walked + $1,000 raised
Gold: 1,500km walked + $2,500 raised
Platinum: 3,000km walked + $5,000 raised

INDIVIDUAL TARGETS

Bronze: 75km walked + $250 raised
Silver: 150km walked + $500 raised
Gold: 250km walked + $1,000 raised
Platinum: 500km walked + $2,500 raised

Step 4: Stay connected along the way with our weekly themes

This challenge is about more than movement. It’s about checking in on each other, having real conversations, and building deeper connections as you walk.

Each week, there will be a specific theme, creating a chance to hold courageous conversation with your teammates and fellow walkers. We encourage you to reflect on the themes, reminding each other that no one should face their struggles alone.

Where Do The Funds Go?

Every dollar raised goes straight back into education, awareness, and frontline community support. Your involvement powers our free community catch-ups which offer safe spaces, breathwork, ice baths, and genuine connection. These catch-ups, and other programs we run, save lives and break the silence around mental health.

- $40 puts one person through a 60–90 minute program, giving them the tools to support themselves and others.

- $1,500 trains a new facilitator to deliver our programs to the highest standards.

- $4,000 sends a trained team to provide immediate support to an organisation after a suicide crisis.

Why Join WalkWithMe?

Connection: Walking side by side is a reminder that we’re stronger together, and every kilometre walked builds the connection that carries us beyond the challenge.

Conversation: Each walk is an opportunity for real conversations, moments to talk, listen, and keep showing up for each other long after the steps are done.

Impact: Your team’s effort directly supports our programs, workshops, and outreach to prevent suicide and build stronger communities.

Achievement: Celebrate your team’s collective effort and milestone with a medal that recognise your commitment and impact.
